What is the greatest danger America faces? The list of dangers faced by our beleaguered republic is long and varied. Amongst the most obvious are the over twenty terrorist training camps strategically ensconced throughout America. The funny thing is that the only reason the terrorist camps pose any danger is that the federal government refuses to go after them and shut them down. I truly wish that federal government officials, would recognize and follow constitutional guidelines to protect our nation from enemies, both foreign and domestic. If they did, perhaps we would not be facing the huge possibility of yet another major terrorist attack within our extremely porous borders.

The great Frederick Douglas was born into slavery in 1818 and died one of the major pillars of American History in 1895. He refused to accept the bonds of physical external slavery heaped upon him by others. Mr. Douglas also did not succumb to self-inflicted slavery in his own mind. Unfortunately, far too many of our countrymen and women today have fallen prey to the slavery of self-defeat and bitterness which in turn is negatively affecting our republic.

During election time, many Americans exercise their right and privilege to voice their choices via the ballot box. Unfortunately, more of our countrymen and women sit out election Day than participate in that most worthy enterprise. Currently, the United States of America is reeling from the effects of the most anti American, anti-free market, anti-freedom, anti-charter school, anti-border protection, anti-strong military, anti-free market medical industry, pro-government healthcare, pro open borders, pro muslim, pro amnesty for illegal aliens, pro United nations administration in our nation’s history. That development occurred because, millions of Christian and conservative leaning Americans decided not to vote. Many conservatives were disgusted with former President George W. Bush. Far too many Christians were misled by egotistical liberal leaning ministers who convinced them that elections aren’t important. They would also hoodwink their flock by telling them that issues concerning our nation are not the concern of Christians. Then of course, there were those who were just too lazy to care enough to go and vote.

There is an old saying that the old timers used to verbalize. “Don’t start nothin’ won’t be nothin.’ With the Ebola debacle making headlines and frightening people across the planet, sometimes I wonder, who started this dilemma or how did it come about? In fact that old adage could possibly apply to the United States government, particularly the Centers for Disease Control which in my opinion is proving to be more rogue than good as far as serving “We the People.”
